Kiloran Bay captures one of Scotland’s most beautiful beaches in a moment of quiet drama. Broad golden sands sweep towards the horizon, touched with yellow and soft purple, beneath a deep blue sky heavy with approaching storm clouds.
Set on the Hebridean island of Colonsay, the bay feels remote and unspoiled, and this painting holds on to that stillness. The contrast between the glowing sand and the brooding sky gives the scene its atmosphere, while the open expanse of beach invites you to slow down and take in the calm.
This print reproduces my original oil on canvas, preserving the rich colour and the texture of the brushwork. It would suit a living room, hallway or bedroom, and makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves the Scottish coast.
Why you’ll love it
· A place with meaning. If you’ve walked this beach, it’s a lasting reminder of the Hebrides. If you haven’t, it’s a window onto one of Scotland’s wildest and most beautiful corners.
· Warm colour that works anywhere. The golden yellows and soft purples against deep blue sit comfortably alongside both traditional and contemporary interiors.
· Authentic, painterly character. Because it comes from an original oil painting, the print has the depth and richness of real brushwork rather than the flat look of a digital image.
· A thoughtful gift. Ideal for anyone who loves Scotland, the coast, or landscape art, whether for a birthday, housewarming or a special memory of a trip.
